The Weipert Vario 180 lathe combines high-quality craftsmanship with robust technology for demanding turning operations. Its bed is made of cast iron and heavily ribbed for maximum stability. All guides are inductively hardened and precision-ground, ensuring the highest level of accuracy. The main spindle features a D1-4" mounting with a hole diameter of Ø 38 mm and is supported by two adjustable precision tapered roller bearings. The gears are made of hardened Cr-Ni steel, precision-ground, and operate in an oil bath, enhancing the machine's durability and reliability. With a center distance of 1000 mm and a maximum turning diameter of 360 mm over the bed, 220 mm over the carriage, and 506 mm in the bridge, the Vario 180 is ideal for a variety of machining tasks. The infinitely variable speed range of 30 to 3000 RPM, along with precise feeds (longitudinal: 0.025-0.85 mm/rev, transverse: 0.05-1.7 mm/rev), allows for optimal adjustment to specific applications. The tailstock is equipped with a MK 3 socket and can be shifted by ± 10 mm for conical turning. Additionally, the lathe comes with a test protocol according to DIN and a mounted 3-axis display for positioning.
